Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Vault you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

Vault is a personal notes application provided as-is for personal use. It allows you to create, organise, and store notes and folders.

3. Account responsibility

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access via the active sessions panel in Settings.
  • You must not share your account or attempt to access another user’s data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent authentication or security controls.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the system.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of everything you write. By storing content in Vault you grant a limited licence to store and display it back to you. We do not claim any rights to your content and will never read, sell, or share it.

6. Data and backups

Vault makes reasonable efforts to keep your data safe, but provides no guarantee of uptime or data preservation. You are encouraged to export your data regularly via Settings → Export data.

7. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all your data is removed. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vault and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
